DON'T LET BIOMASS INCLUDE SEWAGE AND OTHER TOXIC WASTE - OPPOSE S-3538.5
In 2007 the Energy Independence Act was passed (I-937). The newly proposed bill S-3538.5 seeks to weaken I-937 by allowing pulp liquor waste from timber mills to be considered a part of biomass. I-937 has been working and in the last couple years did more to save consumers than any time prior. Please tell Washington's elected officials that you oppose any legislation that would increase toxic pollution or weaken the Energy Independence Act in any way.

Please contact your Senators on the Agriculture, Water & Rural Economic Development Committee immediately and urge them not to pass this bill (S-3538.5).Hatfield (click to email)
